Tesla's AI5 Chip Tapes Out at Samsung, Production Imminent
Tesla's AI5 processor has taped out at Samsung Foundry using a 2nm-class node, months after a similar tape-out at TSMC. Samsung is now set to begin production of the chip, which will power Tesla's autonomous driving systems. The dual-sourcing strategy could help Tesla secure supply and reduce costs.
