Weft: A Minimalist Alternative Internet Protocol Built in Python

Weft is a new line-based protocol over raw TCP with its own address scheme, markup language, and terminal browser, built entirely with Python's standard library in a few hundred lines. It prioritizes text-first content, no client-side code, and a small network that can be fully understood by one person. The project explicitly rejects scalability to billions of users, aiming instead for a lightweight, surveillance-free alternative to the modern web.
