Vint Cerf, Internet Protocol Co-Creator, Retires from Google

Vinton Cerf, co-designer of the TCP/IP protocols that underpin the internet, is stepping down as Google's chief internet evangelist next week. Cerf, often called the "father of the internet," has been at Google since 2005. His departure marks the end of an era for the company's advocacy of open internet standards.
