Tencent Cloud Open-Sources CubeSandbox, a Sub-60ms Secure Sandbox for AI Agents
Tencent Cloud open-sourced CubeSandbox, a Rust-based sandbox using KVM and RustVMM for hardware-level isolation of AI-generated code. It achieves cold starts under 60ms with less than 5MB memory overhead per instance, enabling thousands of concurrent sandboxes on a single machine. The tool is API-compatible with E2B, allowing developers to migrate to local hosting by changing an environment variable.
