Rocket Lab acquires Iridium to challenge Starlink and Amazon's Kuiper
Rocket Lab has purchased satellite communications company Iridium to expand its space-based internet services. The deal positions Rocket Lab to compete directly with SpaceX's Starlink and Amazon's Project Kuiper in the low-Earth orbit broadband market. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
