Progress orders emergency ShareFile server shutdown over mystery security threat

Progress Software has ordered customers to urgently shut down ShareFile servers due to an undiscovered security vulnerability. The vendor insists there is no evidence of unauthorized access but is taking the drastic precaution. The move follows a similar incident last year when a Progress MOVEit vulnerability led to widespread data breaches.
