New Weak RSA Keys with Many Zeros Found in the Wild
Researchers discovered a new class of weak RSA keys containing many zeros, which are vulnerable to factoring. The Badkeys project, an open-source tool, identified these keys in real-world datasets from Certificate Transparency logs and TLS scans. The findings highlight ongoing risks from poorly generated cryptographic keys.
