Moonshotai has released Kimi-K3, a 2.8 trillion parameter open-weight multimodal model with a 1-million-token context window. It uses a Stable LatentMoE architecture activating only 16 of 896 experts per token, achieving 2.5x scaling efficiency over its predecessor. The model outperforms many alternatives on agentic coding and research benchmarks.
