Intel 4 Node Lands First Foundry Customer: Fortinet's Security Chip
Intel will manufacture Fortinet's sixth-generation Security Processor (SP6) on its Intel 4 node, marking the first foundry win for that process. The deal comes three years after Intel originally developed Intel 4 for its own Meteor Lake chips. Fortinet's firewall ASIC will be designed, packaged, and fabricated by Intel.
