Google Disrupts NetNut Proxy Network Using 2M Home Devices
Google, with FBI and Lumen, degraded NetNut's residential proxy network that turned 2 million home devices into rented relays. The operation reduced the pool of usable devices by millions, targeting a network used for anonymizing malicious traffic. NetNut, also tracked as Popa, is now significantly less effective for cybercriminals.
