Baby Monitor Security Flaw Exposes 1.1M Cameras via Shared Platform
A French ethical hacker found that 1.1 million baby monitors from 300+ brands share a vulnerable backend platform, accessible with just a free account. Hardcoded credentials and no per-device access controls allowed viewing camera feeds without password cracking. Rapid7 tested nine popular monitors and gave eight an 'F' for security, showing price doesn't equal safety.
