Android backups now count toward Google storage, but offer more control
Google is changing Android backups to count toward your 15GB free storage limit, ending the policy of unlimited backup for photos and device data. Users will get more granular control over what gets backed up, including the ability to exclude specific apps. The change rolls out gradually, affecting both new and existing backup data.
