AI micro-drone hunts mosquitoes with sonar, but battery limits flights to 3 minutes
A former MBDA engineer built a 40g AI drone using AMD phased-array sonar to detect and eradicate mosquitoes. The $1,100 drone, developed for YC-backed startup Tornyol, is currently restricted to three-minute flights due to battery constraints. The technology aims to offer a targeted alternative to broad pesticide spraying.
