How to read this calculator
Three sliders, one currency switch. Set your expected monthly input tokens (everything you send to the model, including the system prompt), output tokens (everything the model returns), and the share of inputs that benefit from context caching. For PKR, we use a flat reference rate.
Why this exists
Provider pricing pages are designed to make their model look cheap. They quote "per 1M tokens" in isolation, hide output multipliers, and rarely show what realistic workloads actually cost. This tool puts them side by side at the same assumptions.
The Pakistan angle
Most builders in Pakistan are billing US clients in USD but paying their own bills in PKR. A 200-rupee meal feels cheap. A 175,000-rupee monthly OpenAI bill on a side project feels less so. This calculator makes that conversion obvious.
