TypeScript 7.0 Ships Go-Powered Compiler, Drops Legacy Features
TypeScript 7.0 is now available with a native Go compiler delivering 8x to 12x build speedups. The rewrite eliminates legacy targets like ES5 and module systems AMD, UMD, and SystemJS. Strict mode is now default, and baseUrl path resolution is removed in favor of paths.
