Three open-source tools slash AI coding agent token costs

Token costs are becoming a major concern for developers using AI coding agents. Three new open-source projects tackle the problem from different angles: rtk compresses CLI output before it reaches the model, caveman forces agents to use shorter responses, and superpowers reduces wasteful re-exploration. Together they claim 60-90% savings on routine commands and up to 65% fewer output tokens.
