Strands Agents + Langfuse: Open-Source Observability for AI Agents

A proof-of-concept shows how to build a banking assistant using Strands Agents, a lightweight Python SDK for LLM agents, and monitor it with Langfuse's open-source tracing and evaluation platform. The project demonstrates offline and online evaluations to catch non-deterministic failures that traditional metrics miss. It highlights the growing need for specialized observability tools as AI applications break conventional testing paradigms.
