SALT Research: Google AI Mode Doesn't Favor Above-the-Fold Content
SALT.agency analyzed 2,318 URLs cited by Google AI Mode and found no correlation between a fragment's vertical position and its likelihood of being surfaced. Cited text appeared at depths ranging from 2,400 to over 60,000 pixels. Instead, well-structured content with descriptive headings and clear opening sentences was more likely to be selected.
