Pakistan's Social Media Regulator Stalled by Lack of Funds, Office

Pakistan's new Social Media Protection and Regulatory Authority (SMPRA) has not started operations despite appointing a chairman, as it still lacks a budget and office space. The regulator was established to oversee social media platforms in the country. Without funding, its enforcement and policy functions remain on hold.
