OpenTelemetry and SigNoz Used to Observe AI-Powered GitHub Analyzer
GitIntel, an AI-powered GitHub repository analyzer using Gemini 2.5 Flash, was instrumented with OpenTelemetry and SigNoz to gain visibility into its multi-step pipeline. The tool analyzes repositories across eight engineering dimensions, but faced latency ranging from 8 to 52 seconds and token usage varying from 4,000 to 40,000. Observability revealed which steps caused bottlenecks, enabling targeted optimizations.
