OpenAI Codex CLI encryption hides agent task history from audit logs
OpenAI's Codex CLI, in version 0.137.0+, encrypts inter-agent messages in MultiAgentV2, leaving the plaintext content field empty. This breaks auditability, as developers can no longer read task delegation history. The issue #28058 remains open with no fix merged.

Encrypting agent messages for privacy is sensible, but wiping the audit trail without an alternative logging mechanism is a design oversight that undermines developer trust.
