New LDO Regulator Delivers Ultra-Low Noise for Precision Analog

Maxim Integrated's MAX20151R LDO offers 40V input, 500mA output, and 6.5µV RMS noise, enabling direct powering of sensitive analog circuits from industrial or automotive rails without a pre-regulator. Its 40V absolute maximum rating and integrated reverse-voltage protection handle load-dump transients up to -40V. With an external noise-reduction capacitor, output noise drops to 4µV RMS, improving SNR for 24-bit ADCs and RF PLLs.
