Microsoft Folds AutoGen Into Agent Framework, Ending New Development
Microsoft has merged its AutoGen multi-agent framework into Semantic Kernel, creating the Microsoft Agent Framework. AutoGen is now in maintenance mode, receiving only security patches. New projects should start on Agent Framework, while existing AutoGen users should plan migration as technical debt.
