Linux Input Latency Showdown: X11 vs Wayland vs VRR
A developer measured input latency across Linux display servers and configurations. X11 with VRR enabled showed the lowest latency, while Wayland added 1-2ms overhead. DXVK translation layer also introduced minor delays compared to native Vulkan.
