LangChain's architecture degraded over 38 months: builds 889x slower, commits 87x larger
An analysis of LangChain's git history from January 2023 to March 2026 found build times ballooned from 10 seconds to 55 minutes, a 889x increase. Releases slowed from every 30 minutes to every six days, and typical commit size grew from 2 files to 131 files. The study measures the repo against its own historical baseline, not external standards.
