Jamcorder Sells 2,500 Units; Founder Says Hardware Was the Easy Part
Chip Weinberger sold over 2,500 units of his Jamcorder, an automatic MIDI recorder for pianos. He hand-assembled the first 500 units in four days with no design changes. The real challenge was 200,000 lines of software code, written over three years before AI coding assistants existed.
