Indigenous Community Builds One of Canada's Fastest Fiber Networks
Fort Albany First Nation in Ontario built its own fiber-to-the-home network, now one of Canada's fastest. The network enabled a Facebook message to coordinate a rescue that saved a hypothermic man. The nonprofit WJBTN keeps infrastructure ownership and revenue within the community.
