Gemini Spark arrives on macOS for offline AI tasks

Google has rolled out Gemini Spark to its macOS app, enabling local AI processing for tasks and automation. The feature was previewed at I/O 2026 and is the first of two major desktop updates this summer, with a new voice experience expected later. Users can now run certain AI functions without an internet connection.
