EU orders Google to open Android and Search to rivals

The European Union has ordered Google to give rival AI assistants and search engines greater access to Android and Google Search under the bloc's digital antitrust rules. The two decisions, announced Thursday, target Google's control over key platforms. Noncompliance could lead to fines of up to 10% of Google's global revenue.
