Developers can now run Grok inside Claude Code via proxy tool
A developer switched from Claude Code to Grok by using a local proxy called cliproxyapi that forwards Claude's requests to Grok's API. The setup costs $35/month for three months, compared to $100/month for Claude Max, and includes image and video generation. The proxy handles authentication via xAI OAuth and has been running without issues for a week.
