Developer Builds Embeddable AI Recruiter Chat Widget on Free Tiers

Bradley Matera created ProjectHub, an embeddable AI assistant called Scout that answers recruiter questions about his portfolio. The widget uses a vanilla JS frontend, Node backend on a free GCP VM, and falls back to a knowledge base when free LLM providers fail. It includes session memory, caching, safety checks, and an analytics dashboard, all without paid AI traffic.
