Cursor Acquires Continue, Sets July 15 Data Deletion Deadline

Cursor has acquired open-source AI coding assistant Continue in an acqui-hire, disabling billing and giving users until July 15 to export data before deletion. Continue, a Y Combinator Summer 2023 company with 34,300 GitHub stars and $5M raised, released a final 2.0.0 version for community forking. The deal comes as Cursor itself is being acquired by SpaceX for $60 billion, making SpaceX the eventual owner of the former Copilot alternative.
