ClickHouse Sampling: Query Billions of Rows Faster with Approximate Results
ClickHouse data sampling processes only a subset of rows to return approximate answers in milliseconds instead of seconds. The technique reduces disk I/O, CPU usage, and query time, but requires tables designed with a SAMPLE BY key. It's ideal for exploratory analytics where speed matters more than exact precision.
