Claude Code users report mysterious deletion of chat histories
Users of Anthropic's Claude Code are reporting that their chat records older than 30 days are being deleted without warning. The issue appears to affect transcripts stored locally, with some users losing months of work. Anthropic has not yet commented on the cause or provided a fix.
