China pushes surveillance-friendly IPv6 variant for national network

China is advancing plans for a national single-stack IPv6 network, including a proprietary version called IPv6+ that could enable easier censorship and traffic blocking. The protocol is already being exported to other countries. This move could reshape global internet governance norms.
