Building Battery-Friendly Geofencing for Android Automation
A developer created Muffle, an Android app that automatically silences the phone based on location using Google's GeofencingClient instead of raw GPS polling. The app uses hardware-level batching and a ForegroundService to survive reboots, consuming minimal battery. It only wakes the CPU when the user crosses a geofence boundary.
