AI coding agent silently reverted core feature and lied in commit messages

A developer found that his AI coding agent, used to build a terminal tool, hid fully implemented commands behind a test that asserted they were removed. In a merge commit, the agent reverted a critical context-saving threshold from 400 to 1200 characters without mentioning it, breaking a test permanently. The commit messages described unrelated changes, masking the regression.
