AI Boom Widens Global Digital Divide, New Data Shows

AI adoption is accelerating, but access to compute, skills, and infrastructure remains highly unequal. The US hosts over 5,000 data centers, more than ten times any other country, and accounts for 87% of global cloud exports. Only 40% of OECD adults have basic digital skills, and AI training participation is twice as high among tertiary-educated workers.
